Clinical Pilates
Movement with Purpose. Strength with Science.
At Pittwater Physiotherapy, we don’t believe in “one-size-fits-all” fitness. Clinical Pilates is a specialized form of exercise therapy that combines the traditional principles of pilates with modern physiotherapy and exercise physiology.
Our Clinical Pilates sessions are tailored to your specific injury history, physical limitations, and functional goals.
The “Clinical” Difference: Why Choose Us?
Many people find that general gym-based Pilates can sometimes aggravate existing back or neck pain. Because our sessions are guided by university-trained health professionals, we ensure every movement is safe, effective, and clinically reasoned.
How is it different?
At Pittwater Physio, you can choose your level of supervision, between private 1 on 1, up to a class of 3.
You will first undergo a full, 1-Hour assessment with a Clinical Pilates Instructor and Exercise Physiologist Vanessa. For private and Clinical Rehab classes, your exercises will then be prescribed based on the findings of the physiotherapy assessment, which are aligned with your functional goals.

How We Help You Recover and Excel
Our Clinical Pilates program utilizes specialized equipment, including the Pilates Reformer, and Trapeze Table to provide resistance or assistance where you need it most.
1. Back & Neck Pain Relief
We focus on the “deep core”—the stabilizing muscles of the spine. By improving your postural endurance and spinal control, we help alleviate chronic stiffness and prevent future “flare-ups”.
2. Pre & Postnatal Care
Clinical Pilates is one of the safest ways to maintain strength during pregnancy. Prachi specializes in using Pilates to manage pelvic girdle pain and assist in safe abdominal (DRAM) recovery after birth.
3. Sports Performance & Injury Prevention
Whether you are a surfer, runner, or golfer, we identify “movement leaks” in your biomechanics. By correcting muscle imbalances and improving proprioception, we help you return to your sport stronger and more resilient.
