Cover & Claims
Private Health Cover
Patients with Private health care cover that includes physiotherapy services, will be able to claim part of the service fees on the spot. We have a HICAPS terminal on site, which means we can simply swipe your private health care card in the clinic and you will only have to pay the gap.
We also have credit card facilities on site for Visa, Mastercard and EFTPOS transactions for gap payments. If you have forgotten to bring your healthfund card, the full service fee will need to be paid on the day and we will print you out an invoice for you to claim online.
WorkCover & CTP Claims
WorkCover and CTP claims are accepted.
Please bring to your initial consultation:
- A valid WorkCover or CTP claim number which has been approved in writing by your insurance company
- Your insurance company’s contact details
- Your Case Manager contact details
- A current certificate of capacity from your GP
How it works:
Pittwater Physiotherapy will bill the insurance company directly and you will not have to pay anything at the time of the consultation. However, if you do not have the required information, you will need to pay for the consult in full and we will print out an invoice for you to back date your claim with your insurer.
Medicare
Medicare Chronic Disease Management Plans (formerly known as Enhanced Primary Care Plans) referrals are accepted.
Please bring to your initial consultation:
- A valid referral from your GP
- Medicare card
- Debit bank card linked to your Medicare account to get your rebate back on the spot
How it works:
You will be asked to pay the full consultation fee and then we will swipe your Medicare card so you will be able to claim back your rebate on the day. Please note this is not automatically a bulk billed service and is at the discretion of your treating physiotherapist.
DVA Claims
DVA claims are accepted. Provided you have a valid referral from your GP, Pittwater Physio will bill DVA directly and you will not have to pay anything at the time of the consultation.
